Duties:
This position independently manages multiple medium or single department-scale IT internal business projects from inception to close, including resource management, risk identification and mitigation, quality assurance and change control. Leads process improvement or new business service implementation. Creates, provides and facilitates end user training. Leads proactive communication between and among business proponents, stakeholders and IT Leadership regarding assignments. Contributes to the improvement of established guidelines, tools, templates and methodologies. Reports department measurements and communicates metrics on activities. Broad general knowledge of information technology and institution activities. Develops proposals that consider alternatives and business case. Routinely interacts with IT vendors and provides technical interpretation for required services. May lead process or quality improvement efforts.
The candidate will be supporting multiple vended software applications on an application support team including acting as the primary IT contact for new and existing applications and participating on project teams
The candidate will be taking, troubleshooting, and resolving break/fix incident tickets with a high degree of quality and customer service
The candidate will participate in an On Call rotation and will provide after-hours support approximately one week out of every 9 weeks.
The candidate will be creating high quality technical documentation for new and existing applications.
The candidate will facilitate application onboarding by working with customers, vendors, and other Mayo teams, creating architecture diagrams for vended systems for review and approval by Mayo’s architecture board.
The candidate will implement new software applications in both SaaS and On-Prem settings including planning, analysis, and implementation.

Administering and supporting vended software applications in a clinical setting - required
Incident management for technical support issues including troubleshooting issues, working with clinical customers including administrative, nursing, and consulting staff – required
Preparing and writing high quality technical and process documentation – required
Working with software vendors including implementation teams, project managers, leaders, and technical support - required
Ability to plan small projects and tasks effectively, multitask between implementation projects, documentation, and technical support – required
Willing to learn new concepts and technologies, tolerance for ambiguity, able to ask good questions – required
Experience with MS SQL databases or other similar relational database management systems and ability to write SQL queries and interpret results. – preferred
Experience creating diagrams in Microsoft Visio – preferred

Education:
Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years technology or business administration experience. A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Management or related field preferred.
