Title: HR/People Coordinator

Duration: 6+ months w/ potential extensions

Location: Remote / CST/MST preferred, but open to any

 

Education/Experience

• 3+ Years in an HR related role

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business

• Previous experience in a Corporate HR role and/or a start-up is a plus

• Experience with Workday is highly required

• Need a strong HR Coordinator to assist existing HR staff. HR Generalist will be overkill for this position.

• Workday experience a MUST

• Excel skills required.

• Very transactional and agile – can jump from one thing to the next

 

• If they've ever been involved in a merger/acquisition environment and part of that HR process is a huge plus.

 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel or related software

• Successful multitasker who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications

• Ability to work with data whether it be generating reports or completing analysis

• Self-motivated and demonstrated eagerness to learn

• Ability to work closely with others as part of a team and/or independently while taking

• ownership for a task

• Ability to escalate when needed and operate as an effective member of the People

• Operations team

• A strong bias for action paired with a continuous improvement mindset

 

Job Description:

Summary

The People Operations Team is seeking a People Services Specialist to primarily support the Pets Best People Partner and the Pets Best employee population.

Job Duties

• Front Line Leader initial point of contact for NEX concerns

• Supports Workday Tasks and Admin functions for the Pets Best population

• Supports ad-hoc reporting requests, prepares proposals and presentations and the monthly HR meeting series.

• Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, incorrect pay etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate to People Partners

• Supports programs such as Pets Best New Hire Orientation

• Supports the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records within the HRIS and HR SharePoint site

• Supports the People Operations team with organizational tasks and various administrative duties

• Performs other duties as assigned

This role will be working for Pet's Best, which Synchrony divested earlier this year. They are now a separate business from Synchrony and want the candidates to be aware.
