Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree with major in Information Systems or Management from an accredited college or university preferred. Masters degree strongly preferred. Experience Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education or experience required to include seven (7) years of software and development experience. Five (5) years hands-on programming experience in database and data driven applications strongly preferred.
Skill Set
Experience in writing Packages for data loads
Experience creating and maintained Stored Procedure (Packages, Procedures, Function, and anonymous block) with Oracle PL/SQL
Experience using Cursors to pull data from the Database.

Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, test and debug software to meet generally defined requirements in a Windows client/server environment utilizing software development languages/environments such as PL/SQL, Oracle, Progress 4 GL Application Development Environment (ADE), .NET, Microsoft SQL, or other platforms.
Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding for the purpose of developing or modifying moderately complex information systems.
Prepare detailed specification from which programs will be written.
Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain programs.
Become familiar with most aspects of the application including reports, parameters, claims management, intake services, carrier/client interfaces and vendor/business partner interfaces.
Analyze user needs as required.
Assist in the design of specifications to meet end user needs.
Develop and modify software to meet the specifications outlined in data processing requests.
Develop and maintain software to meet requirements of insurance carrier and regulatory groups.
Test and debug assigned projects.
Assist in testing projects for other members of the programming staff.
Prepare documentation on new or existing software.
Investigate call escalations from the support staff.
Make the necessary corrections to data and/or software.
Assist in the professional growth of programmers.
Follow departmental pre-established standards and guidelines as they pertain to design and development.
Adhere to the goal of delivering and maintaining the highest quality of customer service to our clients.
Keep abreast of software development language revisions and technology advances.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Support the organization's quality program(s).
Requirements:
High School Graduate/GED.
6 years of Language Development in a relevant and Applicable Language and/Or Business Analytical experience.
Strong knowledge of Language Development and Applications Design.
Oracle PL SQL Developer.
Experience in writing Packages for data loads.
Experience creating and maintained Stored Procedure (Packages, Procedures, Function, and anonymous block) with Oracle PL/SQL.
Experience creating and maintained from simple to complex queries pull data from the Database.
Experience in SQL Tunning to improve the query performance by identifying key fields, adding/removing tables/fields, and use of indexes.
Good understanding of Oracle Explain Plan.
Experience in designing Relational Databases.
