POSITION: Supply Chain- Buyer
LOCATION: Remote
SHIFT: M-F, 8-5pm

Contract Labor resources needed to support transactional workload from UCSDH departments.
Backfill Staff will:
-Analyze procurement requests to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and UC policies
-Counsel business owners source selection based on preferred and contracted vendors for goods and services
-In-depth understanding of procurement methods and standards and demonstrate good judgment in negotiations
-Conduct high level inter-departmental communication for evaluating all information needed to purchase, contract, and source with compliance for UC policies and procedures.
-Investigate Procure to Pay issues and collaborate with business owners, A/P and suppliers to reach a resolution

Preferred Requirements:
- 5-7 Years Experience (Healthcare preferred)
- Professional Cert Preferred (i.e. CMRP)/Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
