Mode of Interview
•The Client will conduct interviews.
•The Client reserves the right to remove a resource from
consideration if the resource is unavailable for interview as requested by the Client.
•The Client would like to hold interviews in person. Due to
the COVID-19 situation, if in-person interviews are not possible, we will
conduct interviews via Skype, WebEx, phone, etc.
•Resources selected for an interview will be required to
present a valid picture ID at the time of the interview.
•Develop Automated Test Scripts;
•Execute Automated Test Scripts;
•Create and maintain Test Automation Strategy;
•Create and maintain Test Automation Plan;
•Create and maintain Test Cases;
•Create automation documentation; and
•Create Test Closure Document.
•Assist the Performance Engineer in determining business
flows to be scripted and utilized in Performance/Load testing.
•Document all defects in the defect tracking tool in an
accurate and timely manner.
•Escalate all challenges to the appropriate resource(s) in a
•Communicate effectively both verbally and written.
•Attend Defect Review meetings.
•Assist in managing the overall scope of the testing effort.
•Complete required automated testing documentation in an
accurate and timely manner.
•Receive appropriate approval and sign off for all automated
•Execute all automated test cases according to the Test
•Transfer knowledge to MNIT@DHS staff.
•All work will be done at MNIT@DHS offices in St. Paul, MN
unless otherwise arranged.
•Work must comply with the Client Enterprise Architecture.

•Work must comply with applicable industry and agency
•Responder must be able to work independently, with little
or no supervision.
•Responder must be able to drive to resolution in situations
with high ambiguity and confusion.
•Quality Assurance Automation Programmer/Developer will
report to the Quality Assurance Lead/Supervisor.
•Resources must be available for forty (40) hour work weeks
except for Client holidays or other exceptions approved by DHS, and/or
identified in the event response
•Resources may occasionally be expected to work up to fifty
(50) hours per week dependent on project volume.
•Provide architectural recommendations on test automation
strategies using industry best practices for automation.
•Provide continuous improvement recommendations for
automation of test development.
•Develop strategies to produce traceability of requirements
during automated test execution.
•Analyze current regression tests and convert to automated
•Provide analysis of ancillary systems and develop
automation solutions to meet the needs of business processes.
•Document technical aspects of automation solutions.
•Mentor others in the use of technology as it pertains to
•Provide documentation on the use of tools and test suites
used in automation.
•Develop metrics that track automation execution and ROI of
•Five (5) years’ experience in Quality Assurance Automation
•A Master’s degree substitutes for three years of
experience, or a Bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years, or an Associate’s
degree substitutes for one year
•Three (3) years’ of combined experience in Java and
•Five (5) engagements in a test automation engineer role,
each with a different organization, and each lasting a minimum of three (3)
•Computer Science or Information Technology Degree
•Five (5) additional years’ experience in Quality Assurance
Automation Team Lead role involving management of Automation teams at least
four (4) members in size
•Experience using Rational Functional Tester (RFT)
•Experience creating test automation solutions for
Curam-based healthcare applications
•Experience using any other automation tool(s)
•Experience using test management tools such as Quality
Manager (QM) or ALM
•Quality Assurance manual testing experience
•Experience writing and executing basic SQL query commands
